Visitors arrived from the hometown yesterday, so an itinerary was required. It was just a day-trip so this was not too taxing a proposition. With my explorations of Dublin to date this year, I had a bank of options to choose from. Continue reading The Revolution will not be ropy

Disco Deutschland

This week was spent in Freiburg in Germany on a customer visit Naturally I was dreading it as my boss and I would be meeting the big, bad client who would be giving feedback on my company. My company includes me, so there was potential for personal critique as well. What if the information was negative. I could hardly reply by retorting ‘your mother’ at them (even if I had wanted to) as that might have been viewed as unprofessio0nal. Continue reading Disco Deutschland

I will be ruthless and driven. I shall drive a hard bargain, and only think of hostile takeovers and share prices. And stuff. Continue reading A visit to the land of schnitzel and strudel

The riddle of the tattoo

There is a gentleman on my bus to work each day, whose left arm is a tattoo sleeve. His entire arm from the wrist to the shoulder is covered in body art. His right arm still has some unadorned skin visible but this area is rapidly shrinking. He has some permanent paintings etched onto his neck also. Continue reading The riddle of the tattoo
