A bookish nerd – my good self – and ‘A perilous margin’

Since the dim and distant days of my youth I have been a voracious reader. From the early days of my Enid Blyton addiction; to the ‘Just William’ series by Richmal Crompton; by way of Roald Dahl, I have devoured books.
Adolescence saw my advance to proper, grown up books by the likes of Aggie Christie; Stephen King and Judith Krantz – among countless hundreds of other writers and thousands of books. Moving forward with those old stretch targets.

The last week has been a touch stressful . When I say stress I don’t mean stress of an obvious kind. I’m not about to face eviction. Not am I dealing with an unexpected diagnosis of ill health. The stress has been more low-level and irritating. You see this week I have my yearly performance review at work. Continue reading Moving forward with those old stretch targets.
